From 45 Minutes to 5: The Math Behind FieldVoice's Core Claim
45 minutes down to 5 sounds like a rounded marketing number. It is not. Here is the arithmetic behind FieldVoice's core claim.
Every FieldVoice pitch deck has one number on it: 45 minutes down to 5. It sounds like a rounded marketing figure. It is not. Here is the arithmetic behind it, using the same time-motion data we collect from pilot reps.
Where the 45 minutes goes
A typical MR making 8 to 10 calls a day using paper or a manual CRM form spends time in three places: recalling what happened at each visit, typing or writing it into structured fields, and correcting entries when memory does not match what a doctor actually said. Our pilot logs showed 4 to 5 minutes per call spent on recall and re-entry, done in a batch at the end of the day when the calls have already blurred together. Multiply that by 9 calls and you land close to 40 to 45 minutes of pure reporting overhead, on top of the selling day itself.
Where the 5 minutes goes
FieldVoice moves reporting into the 30 to 60 seconds immediately after each visit, while the rep is still in the corridor outside the clinic. A voice note in the rep's own language, no typing, no menu navigation. Our language processing extracts doctor name, products discussed, samples left, objections raised, and next steps, and slots them into the CRM's structured fields automatically. Across 9 calls, that is roughly 30 seconds each, or under 5 minutes total, plus a short review screen at day's end to confirm the extraction got it right.
Why the gap is real, not rounded
The 40-minute difference is not reps working faster. It is reps not re-doing the same recall work twice, once in their head during the visit and once again at a desk that evening. Cutting the second pass out entirely is the whole trick.
For a 20-rep team, 40 minutes a day per rep is over 13 hours of selling time returned to the field every single day. That is the number that gets a regional sales manager's attention faster than any feature comparison, and it is the number we built the entire product around protecting.
